    Mackay BMOA Tappet Rattle Newsletter

Below are some links to download the Mackay British Motorcycle Owners Association bi-monthly newsletter called the Tappet Rattle of which I am the editor. There's some interesting reading in them particularly for owners of Hinkley Bonnevilles.

    Wow Lawrie
Thanks for sharing that. I found mediafire a little confusing at first because all links you posted basically seemed to take me to the same place. But when i realised you then have to just download a particular PDF file it was not too bad. Still a pity the links did not take you directly to articles.

Particularly enjoyed December Newsletter with article on the new Triumph engine, & The correct way to repair a leaking cam cover gasket, rare oil leaks and the less than reliable electrics. The ICU seems to be my main problem but never realised it was an even bigger issue with the Speedmaster and the America.
Also Jan/feb issue was really great! Loved the awesome pictures of all the models and colours available. Always been partial to the Sky blue/warm silver 02 model.

Please keep them coming and congratulate Bonny 59 on a great layout ;-)

Mediafire is a little confusing at first but each link takes you to a page with a yellow rectangular box with the words "Click here to start download" in it, just click on that line of text and your download will start - it's quite simple really.

I'll pass your compliments on to "59 Bonny".

Nice to see the obituary for Jerzy Greblicki in the news letter. Jerzy was a member of Ride til' We Rot Society also. We sent up a wreath for his funeral on Tuesday.
He was a great character and will be sorely missed.
Loved his Rocket III and was a good friend to many of our world wide members.
    RIP Jerzy

Geez that man had his finger in a lot of pies didn't he? What an amazing attitude to life.

I actually held back the release of the Tappet Rattle until after his funeral so that I could get the obituary in it. There were about thirty or more of us on bikes at his funeral as he was in about three local clubs as well.

    RIP Jerzy.

By now most members are probably aware of the passing of
one of our own in tragic circumstances just a little over a week
ago. Jerzy Greblicki was taken from us while doing something
that he loved - wind surfing, which was one of the many
hobbies he enjoyed in addition to motorcycling. Listening to
the story of his life, bravely conveyed by his loving daughter
during the church service, it struck me that we could all take a
lesson from the way he lived his life. Itís there for the taking if
one only looks for the opportunity and Jerzy never hesitated
at grabbing every opportunity he had to experience all of lifeís
wonders. He was certainly cast from a different mould.
RIP Jerzy. I have no doubt that you will be sadly missed.
May I also give my condolenses

Love the newsletter, and if any posts here take your fancy. Feel free to use them

    Great job mate

I'm happy that people are enjoying our little newsletter as it makes our efforts worthwhile. We are off on a ride down to Lightning Ridge in a couple of weeks, about a 3,000k round trip in 9 days, so that should make for a good story for the next issue.
